Imagine that Reason and Faith visit a mutual friend.

The friend is sick. Reason says to the friend, ‘Go to the hospital.’ Faith says to him, ‘Pray or call the elders to pray for you’. Neither of them is wrong.

They are only looking at the situation from two different but complementary angles.

Then Faith and reason look at each other in mutual respect for each other. Reason asks, ‘why does he need to pray? Faith replies, ‘Because only Godheals. ‘Reason queries again, ‘What about doctors, nurses, medicine, herbs, and drugs? Don’t they heal people?’ Faith squints its eyes,smiles at Reason and says,"I expect you to know better!" the atmosphere in the room becomes hushed as Reason has been chided to be reasonable!

Reason submits; ‘ I think you are right. With all these confusing symptoms, characteristics­ of severalillnesses that our friend is manifesting, doctors would also need that “intuition” or “inspiration”, in addition to their text books and experience, to know exactly what the problem is. And for drugs, they only help to remove the impediments or help the body to speed up its own process ofrecovery. I remember that on the logo of one teaching hospital Is the inscription; ‘We care, God heals’.

So , Faith, what do you suggest?’ Faith says to Reason, ‘Well our friend is in a critical situation. We don’t have time for argument.

We shall both work together and do all we can to get our friend back to his normal health. Only, remember this. I have to be in charge; I have to lead.’ Reason replies, ‘Alright! Here we go.’

Together they attend to their friend;each doing his best till their friend is healed.

Back home, when the friend is fully recovered, Reason says to Faith: ‘That medical consultant was very good. And the drug too was very powerful. What do you think? ‘Faith replies, ‘I believe God was in absolute control.

But for God’s providential care, there could have been many odds against us.

The consultant might not have been in the hospital when we took our friend there. He could be wrong in his first diagnosis of the case.

What if the specific drug he prescribed was not available in the market or if we had bought a fake drug?

A nurse might have inadvertently misapplied the drug.

The whole hospital could even have been on an industrial strike action.

A Particular important equipment might have broken down suddenly. Don’t you see that God was totally in control?’ Reason replies, ‘Yeah! Yeah!’

Reason sees only then obvious, the technicalities, ­ the facts; doctors, nurses, drugs, medical facilities, etc. but Faith sees the meaning, the sublime, the truth; God and Him only.
“For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What Can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever” (2 Corinthians 4:18.).

Don't Settle for Jobs: It's Like Bottling Yourself Up!

Let's face it, the issue of getting peanuts as salaries or the unemployment in most countries like our dear country Nigeria is not the Real Issue.  The real issue is Lack of self discovery!

Everyone has the sole responsibility to discover what Gifts God has deposited in him or her and using such gifts to meeting mankind needs,  otherwise,  life won't have any meaning.

Most jobs out there do limit people.

Salaries are like medicines manufactured to manage poverty. Most Salaries can't cure poverty,  but can only manage it. 

You see salary earners anxiously waiting for that fixed income (not flexible) every month. And if there be any slight delay in payment, you countenance change.

Their Joy,  happiness and gestures, is always at the mercy of their salaries. Which shouldn't be.

I'm 110% convinced that every one born of a woman is not empty as they think they are.

Everyone has got a gift right from birth to bless the world with and get paid in return. Every celebrity you see out there are just like everybody else.  The only difference is,  they chose to search and discover themselves rather than searching for jobs that can't help their dreams come true.

The truth is,  no employer can ever pay you what you are really worth. Only you can,  by discovering yourself.

I keep telling people, until they discover their natural skills, talents,  inborn potentials,  and refine them for a profitable living, life will never make sense cos they'll always get ridiculed by this next to nothing called salaries they await at every month end after putting in all of their might in it.

It may not be easy at first ( of course getting peanuts as salaries isn't easy too).  I am 200% sure that when every job seeker out there gets busy looking within themselves, digging out the crude potentials in them and refining them through self trainings,  formal or informal, unemployment would fizzle out on its own like it never existed. 

I have never heard of a celebrity who is just an employee. If you see one,  please call my attention to it.

Jobs limit people, only your gifts, skills can take you places.

Every man has got a gift and a brain. It is the realization of this gift and its application is what brings about man’s transformation! Many are yet to see this truth, which is why they have been deceived for so long a time that getting a job is the only way out. What a paradox! They have been soaked and drenched with the flowing mentality that all they need is, go to school, get a good grade, get a certificate and then start hunting for a never-coming job as though they are hunters. If there be anything a man should hunt for, it’s his purpose!

Many don't even want to try anymore,  thus, are beginning to give up easily on their dreams at the slightest hearing of the word 'Recession', which they have allowed to paralyze their productive thinking. So they end up crashing with the recession.

  Never allow the word recession to paralyze your positive creative thinking.

Recession or no recession, things will still work out if you won't stop thinking productively right.

What's Your Selling Point?

What Do You Do For a Living?

Someone I know messaged  in from London, Uk about two nights ago upon seeing my new publication~ 'Your Mind : Your Greatest Asset' and he asked " Goke (the suffix of my name 'Olagoke' ) do you write for a living? " and I answered in the affirmative! 

Well, I answered yes not because of the monetary value it now holds in returns,  but soley because that's one of the things I have been designed or wired for by my Maker-God: which is why I'm living. And when I stop doing it,  life automatically comes to a standstill. Just like a fan comes to a stand still when it stops fanning or blowing(which is the purpose it was wired and designed for by its manufacturer).

And That's what's going to happen to anyone who hasn't discovered his purpose yet,  or has discovered it,  but has neglected it or refused to pay it detailed attention.

If it were to be for the money aspect, book writing would have been the last option considering the efforts that go into it: the mental labor, the careful selection and collation of words, the joining of pages, the sleepless nights, the editing and re-editing activities, the expensive printing materials to be procured and so on°.  But, for me,  reading, public speaking, or writing a book is more than for money making. Far from it!  It's all about impact! And it brings me fulfillment, joy, confidence, boldness, wealth self-respect,  honor and so on. But my business can't offer me all of that!
Hope you can relate.

  In my small years of living,  I have seen many disheartening situations that need to be addressed,  but often time,  the one to address them even needs to be addressed.

The so many sickening attitudes of our Nigerian youths today towards the future they are often regarded to be or become is the reason for the publication-my book.  The thought-pattern of an average Nigerian youth is debased!  And that need to be revived or addressed in time if we must secure that promising future. Now the manager went closer to the secretary and whispered to her saying, "Go get some of your urine in a cup let's see if he will get that." So the man was given the cup of urine. He took a sip, turned to the manager and said, "Female urine, 26 years old, 2 weeks pregnant and if I'm not given this job, sir, I will tell your wife who is responsible for the pregnancy! "both the man and secretary fainted..����✌��

Two people from the same family died on Wednesday in UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HOSPITAL,UCH-IBADAN NIGERIA. The test results showed that they died due to Leptospirosis. Infective Organism was on the can drink they drank without use of glasses/cups. The Cans were infected with dried urine of Mice containing Leptospirai. Can drinks are stored in warehouses & delivered to retail stores without cleaning. Study shows that the top of all beverage cans are more contaminated than public toilets. On Wednesday, July 28, 2016,   I went to see the Deputy Controller,  Nigerian Prisons, Abeokuta Old Prisons On a Transformational Course Which God Has Placed In My Heart After My Second Publication ~ 'Your Mind:Your Greatest Asset'

The Sight of These Young Prison Inmates Therein Troubled My Heart. Coupled With The Unhealthy Atmosphere.

I Could See Destinies Wasting Away.  I could see people (if in their right frame of mind) couldn't have been held within the walls of another world. 

But,  Thank God, I'm Honored.  He Has Approved Of Me To Bringing About That Transformational Change In Them, Spiritually, Socially,  Positively,  Creatively,  Intellectually, Thus Giving Them Unshakeable Hope And Making Them Men & Women of Dignity,  Honor,  Value, Creativity As They Return To The Society...

Otherwise,  Government Would Be Doing Our Society a Great Disservice As They Release These 'Special People' Into The Society Worst Than They Got Into The Prisons.
